How to play Legacy XI

The modes

Six ways to play.

Classic. Ratings visible. Draft with your eyes open.
From Memory. Ratings hidden. Draft blind and find out what your football knowledge is really worth.
One World XI. One player per nation. Never two from the same country.
One Shot. No re-rolls. Build from exactly what the draw deals you.
Road to Glory. A historic campaign, conquered era by era.
Play a Seed. Replay any code and see whose XI comes out on top.

Drafting and formations

There are 18 formations and 3 tactical styles to choose from, from 4-3-3 to 5-3-2, the Diamond and the Christmas Tree. Your formation sets the eleven places you have to fill.

Draft a player and that place is settled, so a pick is a decision. Play someone out of position and the board tells you what it costs before you commit.

Before kick-off your XI gets a last look. Swap two starters, bring a sub on, then go.

Match day

A run is eight matches: three group games and five knockouts. Each one is called minute by minute, goal by goal.

Matches take their time so goals land instead of flashing past. You can change the speed in Settings. When the run ends, share exactly how it went.

The album and rarities

Every card you draft goes into your sticker album. Cards come in five rarity tiers, from Common to Legend, and each card can carry a finish: Standard, Holo, Almanac or Aura.

The Refinery and Stars

The Refinery turns duplicates into Stars. Spend Stars on rarer cards of players you already own: Standard, Holo, Almanac, Aura.

Star bundles are an optional purchase.

Quests

Quests are album and career goals. Each one pays out a pack.

Career tracking keeps every trophy, win streak and all-time record across every run. There is also a free pack every day.

A seed share code is one short string. Send it to a friend and they draft the same draw. No server, no lobby, no waiting.

Open Play a Seed, enter the code and compare XIs. Seeded runs are practice: nothing counts and nothing pays.
