Terms of service

1. Accepting these terms

By installing or using Legacy XI or any other RSC Labs game, or by using this website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use them. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use our games only with the consent of a parent or guardian, who accepts these terms on your behalf.

Distribution and billing are handled by Google Play, so the Google Play Terms of Service also apply to your download and any purchase.

2. Your licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and play our games on devices you control, for your own non-commercial entertainment. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, decompile, rent, resell or redistribute the games or any part of them, except where that restriction is prohibited by law.

3. Your account

You can play as a guest or sign in to sync progress. You are responsible for keeping control of the account you sign in with; anyone with access to it has access to your progress. Guest progress is stored on the device only and can be lost if the device or app is removed. You may delete your account and data at any time — see the account deletion page.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to: cheat, exploit defects or use modified clients, bots or emulated input to gain an advantage; interfere with our servers or other players' access; attempt to access accounts or data that are not yours; submit display names or content that are unlawful, hateful, harassing, sexual, impersonating or otherwise abusive; or use our games or website for advertising or commercial solicitation without our written permission.

5. Virtual items & purchases

• Our games contain virtual items and currencies — including in-game stars, cards and packs. These are a licence to use a feature of the game. They have no monetary value, cannot be exchanged for money, and cannot be traded or transferred outside the game.
• Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Google Play. We do not receive or store your payment card details.
• Purchases are ordinarily final. Refunds are requested through Google Play under its refund policy; consumer-law rights that cannot be excluded — including under the Brazilian Código de Defesa do Consumidor — are unaffected by anything in these terms.
• Subscriptions renew until cancelled. Manage or cancel them in Google Play under Payments & subscriptions; cancelling stops future renewals and benefits continue to the end of the paid period.
• Purchases affect cosmetics, collection progress and convenience. They do not determine the outcome of a match or tournament.
• If we discontinue a game or a feature, unspent virtual items may become unusable. Where that happens we will give reasonable notice as described in section 9.

6. Advertising

Our games are free to download and are partly funded by advertising served through Google AdMob, subject to the consent choices described in our privacy policy. An in-app purchase removes advertising. We are not responsible for the content of third-party advertisements or the destinations they lead to; report anything inappropriate to rodrigo@rsclabs.net and we will act on it.

7. Leaderboards & public content

If you enter a daily challenge or leaderboard, the display name, flag and score you submit become visible to other players. Choose a name you are comfortable making public. We may remove or replace names that breach section 4, and may exclude submissions that our plausibility checks flag as impossible or manipulated.

8. Intellectual property & data sources

The games, their code, artwork, interface and the RSC Labs name and marks belong to RSC Labs or its licensors. Historical football data is derived from openly licensed sources, credited in the game and on the Legacy XI page: the Fjelstul World Cup Database (CC BY-SA 4.0) and openfootball (CC0 1.0), whose licence terms we observe.

Our games are unofficial and independent. They are not affiliated with, endorsed, sponsored or licensed by FIFA, UEFA, any confederation, federation, league, club or player. Player and national-team names are used descriptively to refer to real historical results.

9. Changes to the games and to these terms

We update our games continuously and may add, alter or remove features, rebalance the simulation, or discontinue a title. Where a change materially affects paid entitlements, we will give notice in the game or on this website beforehand. When these terms change we update the effective date above; continuing to play after a change means you accept the revised terms.

10. Suspension & termination

You may stop at any time by deleting your account and uninstalling. We may suspend or terminate access where you materially breach these terms — in particular section 4 — or where we are required to by law. We will tell you why, unless doing so would be unlawful.

11. Disclaimers

Our games are provided as they are. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation, and simulated results are entertainment, not a prediction or an assertion about real matches, players or organisations. Nothing here excludes warranties or guarantees that applicable consumer law does not allow us to exclude.

12. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, RSC Labs is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, for lost progress or virtual items, or for loss of data caused by your device, your platform account or a third-party service. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us for the game in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil. Disputes are subject to the courts of Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, except where consumer-protection law entitles you to bring proceedings in the courts of your own domicile — a right we do not seek to limit.
